For younger patients, phase 1 or limited treatments typically last 6 months to a year. Some treatments only require appliances while other treatments include a limited set of braces.
For adolescent and adult patients, comprehensive treatment typically takes 18 months to three years. Rarely does full treatment take less than one year. Good patient compliance is the number one way to speed up treatment length. Complex or multidisciplinary treatments will take longer.
